Esports Head Coach

Description

The Head Esports Coach is a member of the 51СʪÃà Athletics department and is charged with coaching, managing, and leading the co-ed 51СʪÃà Esports program to compete at the collegiate level of Esports.Ìý

Responsibilities

  • Coach and administrate for all 51СʪÃà Esports teams including Rocket League, Overwatch and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.Ìý
  • Manage and maintain the sports facility ensuring that all equipment is up to date and appropriately used.Ìý
  • Create and implement recruiting strategies to hit recruiting goals set by the Director of Athletics.
  • Ensure players meet eligibility requirements for participation.Ìý
  • Manage team schedule for practice, games, and study halls.Ìý
  • Cast vision for future projects within the program to promote growth.Ìý
  • Lead the team and players spiritually creating a culture of Christ-honoring athletes.Ìý
  • Work with other departments on campus to help achieve program goals.Ìý
  • Create a healthy competitive culture of winning within the program.Ìý
  • Forecast budget needs as well as create solutions to budget needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two (2) plus years’ experience in Esports industry as a coach, shoutcaster, manager, or other relevant position.
  • Evidence of a maturing relationship with Christ.
  • Evidence of a prior winning record and/or a significantly competitive rank in a respective Esports title.
